We want to help you protect yourself against internet scams. Fraudulent email is one of the most common and potentially damaging methods used to scam banking customers.

Please be aware that Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union will never ask you to send personal or financial information by email or through a link in an email.

You are advised to:

Never provide your personal information in response to an unsolicited request;
Contact HTFCU directly if you believe that the contact may not be legitimate or if you think that an email or phone call is a scam or hoax;
Never provide your password or other personal information over the phone or in response to an unsolicited Internet inquiry unless you are the person that initiated the contact;
Review your account statements regularly to ensure all entries are correct;
